Candles
What are your candles made from?
Our candles are hand-poured in small batches by our specialist UK supplier in Manchester, using sustainably sourced, vegan-friendly soy wax, carefully selected fragrance oils and cotton-and-linen wicks.
How long will my candle burn?
Our signature candles provide up to 45 hours of fragrance when cared for correctly. Actual burn time can vary depending on placement, wick care and the length of each burn.
What should I do when lighting my candle for the first time?
Allow the melted wax to reach the edges of the container before extinguishing your candle. This creates an even “memory burn” and helps prevent tunnelling, where wax remains around the sides of the jar.
Should I trim the wick before lighting my candle?
Yes. Trim the wick to approximately 5–6mm before every burn. A properly trimmed wick produces a cleaner, more controlled flame and helps reduce soot. Remove any wick trimmings from the wax before lighting.
How long should I burn my candle at one time?
Burn your candle for no longer than four hours at a time. Let it cool for at least two hours before relighting, and stop using it when approximately 1cm of wax remains at the bottom to avoid overheating the container.
How should I use and store my candle safely?
Place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from draughts and flammable materials. Never leave it unattended and keep it away from children and pets. When not in use, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, preferably with a lid or cover.
Reed Diffusers
What are your reed diffusers made with?
Our reed diffusers contain carefully selected fragrance oils blended with a carrying solution. Each 150ml diffuser comes with five specially designed reeds that gradually release fragrance into your room.
How long will my reed diffuser last?
A 150ml diffuser provides approximately 10 weeks of continuous fragrance. Its lifespan can vary depending on room temperature, airflow, placement and the number of reeds used.
How many reeds should I use?
We recommend using four reeds in a smaller room and all five reeds in a medium-sized room. Using more reeds produces a stronger fragrance but may cause the liquid to be used more quickly.
Do I need to turn the reeds?
The specially designed reeds do not require frequent turning. However, you can carefully rotate them whenever you would like an extra burst of fragrance. Protect nearby surfaces when handling the reeds.
Where should I place my reed diffuser?
Place it on a stable surface in a small or medium-sized room where air can circulate gently. Avoid direct sunlight and heat sources. Take particular care with wooden or painted surfaces, as spilled fragrance oil may leave marks.
How can I use my diffuser safely?
Keep your diffuser upright and out of reach of children and pets. Avoid contact between the liquid and your skin, eyes or household surfaces. Wipe the bottom of the bottle before positioning it, and clean up any spills immediately.
Artificial Flowers and Plants
Are artificial plants realistic looking?
Modern artificial plants are made using high-quality materials and detailed finishes, giving them a very realistic appearance. Many people find it difficult to tell the difference unless they look closely.
Do artificial plants require any maintenance?
Artificial plants are very low maintenance. They do not require watering, sunlight or feeding. Simply dust or gently wipe them occasionally to keep them looking fresh.
Can artificial plants be used outdoors?
Only use an artificial plant outdoors if its product description confirms that it is suitable for outdoor use. Products intended for indoor use may fade or become damaged when exposed to direct sunlight and changing weather conditions.
Are pots or planters included?
Many of our artificial plants are supplied in a pot, planter or decorative vase. Please check the individual product description and photographs to see exactly what is included.
Where can I display artificial flowers and plants?
They are ideal for homes, offices, reception areas and other indoor spaces. To help preserve their appearance, keep them away from excessive heat, moisture and prolonged direct sunlight.
